Liverpool ‘reluctant’ to let Brewster join Leeds on loan

Liverpool are believed to be ‘reluctant’ to allow Rhian Brewster to join Leeds United in January.

The 19-year-old is expected to leave the Reds on loan next month, in search for regular first team football.

Swansea City are seen as the front-runners to sign him until the end of the season, but Leeds have also been strongly linked.

Their chances of getting him appear slim, however, with The Athletic claiming Eddie Nketiah’s limited game time there could put Liverpool off the idea.

The youngster is on loan from Arsenal, but he has struggled to feature prominently for the Championship promotion hopefuls.

A temporary move away makes perfect for Brewster, but only if he is going to earn regular playing time.

The striker has only made two appearances for Liverpool this season, having been tipped to play a bigger role back in the summer.

A five-month stint elsewhere would see him grow as a player and it feels as though Swansea is the ideal destination.
