Newcastle eye January move for Lallana

Newcastle United are keen on signing Adam Lallana from Liverpool in January, according to the Telegraph.

The 31-year-old is expected to leave the Reds at the end of the season, when his current deal expires.

Jurgen Klopp is keen on adding a one-year extension to Lallana’s contract, but he will likely look for a fresh challenge.

The midfielder is a target for Newcastle in the January transfer window, even though they are aware that a move is unlikely.

Steve Bruce is looking at bringing in three new players, in order to aid his side’s relegation fight.

Lallana’s Liverpool career has been an up-and-down one, but he is in good form this season.

He is also credited for being a key leader off the pitch, along with the likes of Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Virgil van Dijk.

Lallana can go out on a high by securing a Premier League winners’ medal, which would make him a hero at Anfield forever.
