Swansea City still see Rhian Brewster as their ideal January transfer target, according to BBC Wales reporter Gareth Vincent.
The 19-year-old has been heavily linked with a loan move this month, having struggled for playing time at Liverpool.
Leeds United have been tipped to sign him, but Swansea have emerged as the favourites in recent days.
That is due in part to Eddie Nketiah’s struggle for game time at Elland Road, which Liverpool fear could also happen to Brewster.
Taking to Twitter, Vincent provided an update on the situation, saying Brewster is still a major target for Swansea, especially with Sam Surridge recalled by Bournemouth:

A loan move will benefit Brewster, allowing him to play regularly and mature as a player.
Injuries have curtailed his progress, but he remains a special talent who has a bright future at Anfield.
Swansea is the ideal place for him to continue learning, before returning to Liverpool in the summer.
