Jurgen Klopp has lauded the form of Joe Gomez, as well as hailing the other centre-back options at his disposal.
Gomez was imperious in the early stages of last season, shining alongside Virgil van Dijk.
A broken leg suffered at Burnley in December 2018 curtailed his progress, however, and he struggled to recapture his previous form.
That has changed in recent weeks, however, with Gomez once again performing superbly.
He looks Van Dijk’s strongest partner again and a special long-term prospect for Liverpool.
Speaking in his pre-Everton press conference on Friday, Klopp gushed over the youngster, also pointing out that he thinks highly of all of his centre-backs:
Joe Gomez started last season exactly same shape as now. Space for improvement, but what a player.
He got injured and thank god other players stepped up. Matip didn’t cost a penny, we have four sensational centre-backs.
Unfortunately they aren’t always fit together.

Gomez is proof that supporters need to be patient, particularly with young players.
He may have lost form and confidence for a while, but he just needed time to find his rhythm again.
Gomez has been almost immaculate since starting regularly in the absence of Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren, who both remain sidelined.
It is his now his place to lose alongside Van Dijk.
