Jose Mourinho has paid Liverpool a huge compliment, calling them the best team in the world currently.
The Reds are riding on the crest of a wave, sealing their status as European and world champions over the last 12 months.
Jurgen Klopp’s men have also won 19 and drawn one of their 20 Premier League games this season, giving them a 13-point lead at the top of the table, with a game in hand.
Mourinho has quite a history with Liverpool, often viewing them as a big rival during stints with Chelsea and Manchester United.
The Portuguese has been in complimentary spirits, however, telling reporters that no side on the planet is better than the Reds:

When someone like Mourinho is showering Liverpool with praise, you know this is a special team we are watching.
They have usurped Manchester City this season, who were deservedly seen as the premier side in the world in 2018/19.
What Klopp is achieving is astonishing, ensuring his players, the supporters and those who work at the club are all pulling in the same direction.
This could all be part of Mourinho’s plan to take pressure off his Tottenham players, of course, ahead of the visit of Liverpool on Saturday.
He will be desperate to end the Reds’ unbeaten run this season – something he would be able to brag about for years to come.
