Liverpool fans are left stunned by Keita’s incredible statistics

Naby Keita arrived amidst much fanfare in the summer of 2018, having signed from RB Leipzig the previous year.

Such huge expectations haven’t always helped the 24-year-old, who has produced some very good performances but also some forgettable ones.

Injury problems have also been a huge issue, with the Guinean currently sidelined once again.

A remarkable image provided by StatsBomb has emerged on Twitter, however, outlining how impressive Keita’s statistics have been in the Premier League this season, from pass competition rate to number of turnovers:

Stats aren’t everything in football, but these figures highlight what a formidable midfielder Keita can be.

I believe he has the ability to be a future great at Liverpool, dominating in all facets of his game.

A lot of what Keita does goes unnoticed, whether it be his off-the-ball pressing and quality at winning the ball back, or his ability to break the lines with subtle passes, as these stats show.

I think he is the Liverpool midfielder with the highest ceiling and the hysteria surrounding his move remains justified.

Keita just needs a long run in the team to be fully appreciated and to hit top gear, providing something different in the middle of the park.

The main stumbling block at the moment is fitness – it would be a huge shame if injuries continued to curtail his progress.
