Nathaniel Clyne joining West Ham would a ‘perfect’ move for all parties, according to former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson.
Clyne is currently sidelined with a cruciate ligament injury picked up during pre-season last summer.
He hasn’t played for Liverpool since their 5-1 win at home to Arsenal on December 29th, 2018.
A switch to West Ham has been talked up by Danny Mills in recent days and Robinson has followed suit.
Speaking to Football Insider, he said joining the Hammers would benefit everyone concerned:
He’s clearly not going to get in the Liverpool team, he’ll be a bit-part player at most, and if he does want to play this year then it could be a move that works for both sides.
I could see that happening.

Clyne won’t play another competitive game for Liverpool, in my opinion.
The injury he suffered was a serious one and the Reds have moved on without him, not least Trent Alexander-Arnold.
With Neco Williams emerging as an able deputy to the 21-year-old, and Joe Gomez and Ki-Jana Hoever also capable of playing there, Clyne is no longer needed.
I still think Clyne has plenty to offer at right-back for a lower-ranked Premier League side, however.
A move to West Ham makes perfect sense, allowing him to either dovetail with veteran Pablo Zabaleta, or replace him in the role.
