Jurgen Klopp believes only injuries can prevent Trent Alexander-Arnold from going right ‘to the top’.
The 21-year-old has become an influential figure for Liverpool in the last couple of seasons, shining for the Reds at right-back.
Speaking in his pre-Manchester United press conference on Friday afternoon, Klopp tipped the boyhood Liverpool fan to have a wonderful career:
The games, the experience and his teammates will make Trent better. Apart from injuries, I cannot see anything from stopping him going to the top.
When you are a talented footballer and have an outstanding attitude it is pretty likely that you will have a proper career.

I firmly believe Alexander-Arnold the most exciting player to emerge at Liverpool since Steven Gerrard.
Blessed with outrageous technical ability, no player in the Premier League has registered more assists (20) since the beginning of last season.
He has effectively taken on the role of Liverpool’s playmaker from right-back, which is remarkable.
I think Alexander-Arnold is already the world’s best right-back – he can still improve defensively, though – but he can go on to be one of the outstanding players of his generation.
As Klopp alludes to, I believe only a serious injury will stop that from happening, with everything in place for him to keep thriving at Anfield.
