Liverpool’s key motivation against Man United will be avenging the draw at Old Trafford earlier in the season.
The Reds have remarkably still only dropped two points in the Premier League in 2019/20, coming at United in October.
A late Adam Lallana equaliser was required to preserve the Reds’ unbeaten record, on a day when they fell short of their top level.
Writing for the Evening Herald, former Manchester City defender Richard Dunne believes Liverpool will want to ensure they beat United, in what could be a title-winning season:
Liverpool know that this is the only team which has taken points off them all season, so the leaders will want to put the record straight.

I think Jurgen Klopp will be particularly revved-up to ensure Liverpool see off their old foes this weekend.
Despite United’s struggles in recent years, the Reds have still only beaten them once in the last eight matches, in all competitions.
In my opinion, Liverpool do still have a slight mental block against their rivals, often going into their shell in the way Everton do against the Reds.
Victory on Sunday would be a another huge hurdle cleared in that respect, and a massive three points in their title quest.
