Barcelona have reportedly entered the race to sign Timo Werner, who has been linked with a move to Liverpool.
The Germany international is believed to have identified Anfield as his preferred destination, with speculation surrounding a possible exit from RB Leipzig developing.
However, Liverpool will seemingly not have a clear run at signing Werner, with Spanish outlet Diario Sport claiming that Barcelona want to recruit him to fill the void left by Luis Suarez’s injury.

We think that Werner would be a top signing for Liverpool as he would provide Jurgen Klopp with a different dimension in the attack.

Roberto Firmino has, in our opinion, hugely impressed despite not scoring freely, with seven Premier League goals to his name this season.
However, adding a pure goalscorer to complement the Brazilian, as well as Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah, could complete the Reds’ attack.
We believe that Werner is among the most exciting forwards in European football right now.
He has impressed us hugely since bursting onto the scene for Leipzig. Such has been his influence this term that the 20 goals and six assists he has amassed have led Julian Nagelsmann’s side to the top of the Bundesliga table.
Werner would not come cheaply – some reports have cited a possible £60 million fee – but we feel it would be a move worth making.
