Do you ever wonder why Everton fans even bother?
Not only are rivals Liverpool on top of the world currently, but they seem to produce an endless stream of miserable moments for their own supporters.
Just when you think you’ve seen it all, the Blues manage to somehow outdo themselves.
On Tuesday night, what looked like a routine 2-0 win at home to Newcastle United turned into their latest disaster.
Everton conceded twice deep into stoppage time, dropping two valuable points and being roundly mocked by the wider footballing public.
At the centre of the action was Jordan Pickford, who again made an error that cost his team dearly.
The goalkeeper was stood behind his line for the second of Florian Lejeune’s last-gasp efforts, when he could easily have prevented the ball from crossing it normally.
Needless to say, Liverpool supporters have been having a whale of a time after Pickford’s latest error, providing their thoughts on Twitter.
