Liverpool have ‘set their sights’ on signing Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal, according to Football Insider.
The 18-year-old has caught the eye for the Gunners this season, proving to be one of the positives in an otherwise forgettable campaign to date.
Liverpool reportedly see him as a potential target, as they weigh up their summer transfer plans.
It is claimed that Michael Edwards is ‘on the trail’ of Martinelli, who joined Arsenal from Ituano last summer.

I believe Martinelli would be a superb addition by Liverpool, should there be genuine truth in the rumours.
He looks a fantastic prospect who draws comparison with the likes of Luis Suarez and Sergio Aguero, in terms of his low centre of gravity, street fighting style and composure in front of goal.
Martinelli already has 10 goals to his name this season, including a double at Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, on a night when his all-round game impressed.
The Reds should do all they can to steal the youngster from Arsenal – he would be a strong backup to Roberto Firmino and his ceiling is extremely high, in my opinion.
