Manchester United’s wretched run of form continued on Wednesday evening.
Liverpool’s bitter rivals were beaten 2-0 at home to relegation-threatened Burnley, on a night when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer found himself under even more pressure to save his job.
United are now 30 points adrift of Liverpool in the Premier League table, which is made even more remarkable by the fact that Jurgen Klopp’s side have two games in hand on them.
This is what Reds fans have been waiting for for so long, having endured such misery at the hands of their rivals in the 1990s and 2000s.
One man who wasn’t popular on Wednesday was former Liverpool man Jason McAteer.
Speaking on beIN SPORTS, the 48-year-old criticises Paul Pogba for some of the current issues at Old Trafford, claiming that his influence in the dressing room was having a negative impact on the squad.
These United fans reacted angrily to McAteer, accusing him of racism towards the French midfielder as the Liverpool players he compared him to are all white footballers.

I’m yet to see any evidence of Pogba being “toxic” 😂 The guy is always smiling and people love him at the club

He couldn’t possibly be any more blatant if he showed us his Brexit ballot
