Celtic new boy Soro eyes up future move to Liverpool

Celtic’s new signing Ismaila Soro admits he would love to play for Liverpool in the future.

The Ivorian joined the Hoops in a £2 million deal last week, as they look to beat Steven Gerrard’s Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title.

Soro is yet to even take to the field for his new club due to work permit issues, but that hasn’t stopped him from discussing a future move to Anfield.

In an interview with ONE, the 21-year-old revealed how playing for Liverpool is a dream for him:

After Celtic I would like to play in the Premier League and Liverpool, that’s why the Scottish League will be very good for me.

I doubt Celtic supporters will be too pleased with Soro’s comments, seemingly suggesting he sees them a stepping stone club in his career.

I can’t admit to knowing much about the youngster as a player, but this is a wonderful chance for him to show his quality in the British game.

Virgil van Dijk is proof that you can be a success at Celtic and then go on to become a superstar at Liverpool.
