Jordan Pickford has become a figure of fun among many Liverpool supporters in recent years.
The Everton goalkeeper will forever be remembered for his mistake in the lead-up to Divock Origi’s goal in December 2018, when he gifted the Belgian a 96th-minute winner at Anfield.
Pickford has flattered to deceive since then, conceding five more goals at Anfield last month, before failing to keep out Curtis Jones’ stunner in the FA Cup.
It is not only against Liverpool that he has struggled, however, with one comical error against Newcastle United last week ensuring the Magpies got an unlikely point at Goodison Park.
Reds supporters are convinced that Liverpool FC Women’s star Kirsty Linnett has mocked Pickford’s little arms in her celebration, following her side’s 8-1 win over Blackburn Rovers on Sunday.
A tweet from Liverpool’s official Twitter account showed Linnett’s celebration, which does seem to suggest a joke at Pickford’s expense:
GOOOOOAAAAAAL!!!!!!! LINNETT WITH THE 7TH! pic.twitter.com/UETXAUi1w9

It might not be, of course, but these Reds fans were convinced of it on Twitter.
