Liverpool hope to extend their winning run in the league when they face a tricky challenge against Southampton at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
With Manchester City having to wait till Sunday evening to kick off their game against Tottenham, the Reds could go 22 points clear at the top by tomorrow night if they get the better of the Saints.
However, it won’t be easy as Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men have been good form, especially since that nightmare result against Leicester City back in late October.
Jurgen Klopp’s men didn’t hit top gear but did enough to see off West Ham United on Wednesday night.
As a reminder, this is Liverpool’s last competitive game before the two-week mid-season break.
In terms of team news, Sadio Mane, James Milner and Xherdan Shaqiri haven’t recovered enough for the game.
