Former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan sees no reason why Virgil van Dijk would want to leave Liverpool amid reported interest from Juventus.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Jordan responded to the rumours by claiming Liverpool are a much bigger club that Juve, and compared the situation to Lionel Messi at Barcelona as he believes both he and Van Dijk have no reason to leave their respective clubs.
They [Liverpool] are a tier A football club. Nobody talks about Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona, and in this particular incarnation, Van Dijk is the absolute bedrock of Liverpool. I don’t see what would be the attraction for him to go to Juventus.
Yes Juventus have a great status in the game but they don’t have a greater status than Liverpool, they’re not a better team than Liverpool and they’re not a better club than Liverpool. They’re not anything that Liverpool aren’t already.

Jordan’s comments are spot on here, in my opinion.
Having won back-to-back Champions League titles and with the club seemingly set to cruise to the Premier League crown this season, I too see no reason why Van Dijk would want to leave for Juve.
With Klopp in charge and the likes of Alisson, Van Dijk, Henderson, Mane, Firmino and Salah in the side, Liverpool have an incredibly strong spine to their team and I feel the foundations are in place to carry their recent successes forward for the foreseeable future.
