Liverpool’s youngest-ever side produced a memorable performance to beat Shrewsbury Town 1-0 on Tuesday night.
The Reds hosted their League One opponents in the FA Cup fourth round replay, in front of a packed house at Anfield.
With Jurgen Klopp and his senior players absent, Neil Critchley and his young team did themselves proud, outplaying Shrewsbury for large periods of the game.
In the end, the game was decided by a comical own goal from Ro-Shaun Williams, with the defender heading the ball into his own net in front of the Kop.
Right-back Neco Williams played a huge part in the goal, launching a long ball into the penalty area.
A brilliant statistic emerged after the game, showing that Williams has now registered more assists (two) this season than Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka (one), who cost the Red Devils £50 million last summer.
These Liverpool supporters have been loving the stat on Twitter, hailing Williams and mocking Wan-Bissaka.
