Back in August, the idea of Liverpool being 22 points ahead of Manchester City at the beginning of February seemed highly unlikely, even in the mind of the most optimistic Reds supporter.
Pep Guardiola’s side had racked up 198 points in the space of two seasons in 2017/18 and 2018/19, winning the Premier League title on both occasions.
Liverpool stuck with them all the way in the second of those, reaching 97 points and missing out on the final day, but the Merseysiders have gone up another gear this season.
Jurgen Klopp’s side now require just 18 points to secure Premier League glory, having dropped just two all season, away at Manchester United in October.
While Liverpool’s dominance has been clear to see, considering the margin at the top, Bernardo Silva seemingly thinks otherwise.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the Portuguese star feels luck has been on the Reds’ side more than City’s this season:
Bernardo Silva on the difference between Man City and Liverpool:
“In the important moments we’ve not been as lucky as in past seasons. We always concede in the last minute, Liverpool always score in the last minute. These little details in football make the difference.” (Sky)

These Liverpool supporters have been left bemused by Silva’s remarks, accusing the forward of being delusional.
'Little details' such as scoring goals….
