Norwich City star Todd Cantwell is a summer target for Liverpool, according to The Athletic‘s David Ornstein.
The 21-year-old midfielder is wanted by a host of top clubs, including Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham.
It is claimed that Liverpool are at the front of the queue to acquire Cantwell’s services, however, as Jurgen Klopp looks to add to his squad.
The Norwich youngster impressed away to the Reds back in August, with an 82 per cent pass success rate on the day, even though Klopp’s men ran out 4-1 winners.
On Saturday, he also stood out as one of the Canaries’ more noticeable players, causing Liverpool problems in their narrow 1-0 victory at Carrow Road.
Cantwell isn’t only making a name for himself at club level, winning one cap for England’s Under-21s.
News of Liverpool rumoured interested in the young midfielder has gone down well among Reds supporters, who took to Twitter to provide their thoughts on a potential move for him.

Cantwell is is definitely a Liverpool type signing. Not as hyped as Maddison/Grealish but Klopp well probably make him a better player than both

Not at all surprised if Liverpool are after Cantwell. In the first few minutes of the Norwich game at Anfield you could see he was probably a player they would like. Ideal addition with Lallana leaving. https://t.co/PAXfOndcSP
