Leicester City have made an official approach to sign Adam Lallana from Liverpool this summer, according to Sky Sports News.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season, and is expected to leave the Reds.

Tottenham, Arsenal and West Ham are also mentioned as being interested in Lallana, but Leicester have made the initial move.

A pre-contract agreement could even take place, should the midfielder want to discuss a move to the King Power Stadium.

It would mean Lallana joins up with former Reds manager Brendan Rodgers, who signed him from Southampton back in 2014.

Leicester is a perfect move for Lallana, in my opinion, with his ball-playing style fitting right into Rodgers’ system.

He has enjoyed an 83.4 per cent pass completion rate in the Premier League this season, which is superior to Foxes regulars Youri Tielemans (82.6%) and James Maddison (83%).

I think it is the right decision for Liverpool not to offer the Englishman a new deal, though, considering his injury record, as well as ability to flatter to deceive.

While Lallana has chipped in this season, scoring away to Manchester United, it is his only goal since May 2017.
