Liverpool’s staggering Premier League form continued on Monday, as the Reds saw off West Ham at Anfield.

The 3-2 victory was tighter than many had anticipated, however, and Jurgen Klopp’s side had to overcome a 2-1 deficit in the second half.

As has become the norm this season, however, Liverpool picked up all three points, meaning they have now won 79 point from a possible 81.

Klopp’s men are threatening to smash various records in 2019/20, on their way to arguably becoming one of the greatest English club sides of all time.

The latest feat achieved on Monday saw them match Manchester United’s treble winners’ tally of 26 league wins in a season, as pointed out by the Mirror‘s Alex Richards (@AA_Richards) on Twitter:

To have done this before March has even started is beyond belief, further showing how special this Liverpool team is.

That 1998/99 United outfit were fantastic – any Reds’ supporter should be able to admit that – but Liverpool are making them look average in comparison.

It is now just four wins required to clinch Premier League glory, in what has been a truly legendary campaign to date.

Would this Liverpool team beat Man United's treble winners?
