Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho, with the winger potentially set to stay in Germany.
According to German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten, Sancho could stay with Dortmund until January 2021 at the earliest, before deciding on whether or not he wants to leave.
The report also claims that he has not told Dortmund that he wants to leave the club, amid interest from Liverpool and Manchester United.

Sancho has been in incredible form for Dortmund this season in the Bundesliga.
The 19-year-old has produced 13 goals and 14 assists in 20 Bundesliga starts, recording a WhoScored rating of 7.96. This means that he has contributed to more goals and has a higher rating than any Liverpool forward in the Premier League this term.
Of course, the Bundesliga and the Premier League are different divisions, but Sancho is still proving that he has the quality to deliver top-class performances every week in a major league.
This shows why he could be a good signing for Liverpool if they were able to get a deal over the line.
However, it appears as though he could be staying at Dortmund and Liverpool may need to move on to other targets. That is unless they decide to wait it out and try their luck.
