Liverpool fans react as Chirivella looks set to leave this summer

Some Liverpool supporters have heaped praise on Pedro Chirivella, amid reports that he wants to leave the club this summer.

The 22-year-old has done well for the Reds this season, acting as a mature figure in the middle of the park.

While no Premier League minutes have come Chirivella’s way, he has managed six appearances in the domestic cup competitions.

He stood out as a reliable figure in those games, compared to his younger colleagues, providing calmness and quality in the middle of the park.

Despite Chirivella enjoying the most game time of his Liverpool career this season, he reportedly wants a fresh challenge this summer, in order to search for more regular first-team football.

The news is not hugely surprising, considering his place in the midfield pecking order at Anfield, but fans have still been left disappointed by the news.

These Reds supporters took to Twitter to offer their support to Chirivella, lauding him for his professionalism and even suggesting a new contract should be offered to him.

Not fair on him. Spending some of his prime years as a reserve player.

He could get into the starting XI of some smaller teams.
