Leicester City are the standout favourites to sign Adam Lallana this summer, according to Corriere dello Sport, as translated by Sport Witness.

The 31-year-old is expected to leave Liverpool at the end of the season, following six seasons at the club. Lallana’s contract expires in the summer and he is unlikely to sign an extension, with AC Milan and Lazio among those interested.

This latest update states that Leicester are ‘ahead of everyone’ in the race to sign the midfielder, however.

I think a switch to the Foxes looks like an ideal move for Lallana, as he potentially teams up with Brendan Rodgers again. The Ulsterman signed Lallana from Southampton during his Liverpool days and his style could suit Leicester’s high-octane system.

He is neat and tidy on the ball, enjoying an 85.7 per cent pass completion rate in the Premier League this season, as well as averaging 1.3 tackles, highlighting his tenacity off the ball.

Lallana could enjoy more playing at Leicester, especially if James Maddison moves on, with his chances at Liverpool increasingly limited in recent years.
