Perrie Edwards has joked that she is close to burning Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s Playstation, as the pair self-isolate together.

Liverpool’s players are currently on lockdown, as virus-related illness affects the United Kingdom and beyond.

There is no set date for the return of football, with the Reds’ stars currently on individual training programmes at home.

Speaking on Kiss radio, with quotes cited by the Liverpool Echo, Little Mix singer Edwards opened up about life with her boyfriend:

There’s going to be a situation here. I’m probably this close to burning, or just cutting straight through the wire of the PlayStation. I’m like ‘Stop with the PlayStation for two seconds!’

It is a funny insight into what life is like for Liverpool’s players, as they look to tackle being isolated for the foreseeable future.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is one of the liveliest members of this Reds squad, so his company could be entertaining during lockdown.

I think the 26-year-old has been a great addition by Liverpool, not only as a player, but also as a character.

The manner in which he has recovered from a serious knee injury is admirable, and I believe he can continue to be a key figure at Anfield.

Who is better: Keita or Oxlade-Chamberlain?
