Liverpool are reportedly in talks with the agent of Marcelo Brozovic over a potential summer swoop for the Croatian.
As per a report in the print edition of Libero, as cited by the Express, the Reds are interested in making a move for the 27-year-old, who has a £52m (€59.6m) release clause in his current contract at Inter Milan.
Inter are keen to keep hold of the Croatian star and will apparently look to extend his current contract, which has just over two years remaining on it.
Liverpool will lose Adam Lallana in the summer, and with Gini Wijnaldum yet to sign a new contract, there’s a chance that he could soon be heading for the Anfield too, so it makes sense for the Reds to be looking at other options.

Brozovic has been a mainstay in the Inter Milan side for a while and has gone from strength to strength under Antonio Conte, so they won’t be un a rush to let him leave.
However, the £52m release clause means they’d be powerless to stop the transfer going through if the Reds decide to meet it and despite his age, that fee seems more than reasonable for a player of Brozovic’s quality.
