Liverpool returned to winning ways in emphatic fashion as they rolled past Crystal Palace 4-0 at Anfield to go even closer to clinching the Premier League title.
Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Fabinho and Sadio Mane scored the goals for the Reds during this routine victory and the result means that they could win the title on Thursday if Manchester City draw or lose against Chelsea.
Coming back to the game, Jurgen Klopp’s men made a strong start to the game and soon got a free-kick in position perfect for Alexander-Arnold. The full-back stepped up and curled his effort into the back of the net.
Then, right on the stroke of half-time, Fabinho chipped in a lovely ball in behind the Palace defence for Salah to run onto and score.
A few minutes into the second half, the aforementioned Brazilian rifled his shot in from 30 yards to make it 3-0 for the home team.
Thereafter, in the middle of the second half, all of Liverpool’s famous front three combined for Salah to play Mane in for a sublime counter-attack goal.
By the fulltime whistle, Klopp’s men were comfortable and showed their authority to the hapless visitors.
