Leeds and Brentford lead the race to sign Yasser Larouci

Leeds United have held talks with Liverpool about the possible summer transfer of Yasser Larouci, as per a report from David Lynch of The Standard.

The 19-year-old has made a few sporadic first-team appearances for Liverpool in games where Jurgen Klopp has rung the changes but his chances of breaking into the first-team set-up on a regular basis appear slim and it looks like the player and the club have agreed that a permanent move away is the best option for all concerned.

Brentford have also held talks about potentially signing the young full-back, who is keen to seal a move in order to join a club where he will have a better chance of playing regular first-team minutes.

With Andy Robertson fully established as Liverpool’s left-back and with James Milner and Neco Williams ahead of Larouci in the pecking order to play in games that Robertson misses, it’s understandable that the teenager wants to move.

With just one year left on his contract, The Reds will be keen to get some type of fee for the 19-year-old and will hope that Leeds, Brentford and a few other clubs might become embroiled in a bidding war to drive up the asking price.
