Liverpool would consider signing a player to add some defensive cover to their squad this summer, according to Neil Jones of Goal and one of the players who the Reds could take a look at is Norwich City full-back Jamal Lewis.
Jones reports that Lewis is well thought of by those at Anfield and given that the Canaries have now been relegated, he will likely be available for a transfer.
The 22-year-old left-back has played 27 Premier League games for the Canaries this season, but he’ll need to make a move if he wants to continue playing in the top flight, as Norwich will be back competing in the Championship next year.
The Northern Irish international, if he did sign, could provide cover at left-back for Andrew Robertson, with James Milner currently acting as the back-up option in that position.

Liverpool have been willing to sign relegated players in the recent past with Gini Wijnaldum, Xherdan Shaqiri and Robertson himself all moving to Anfield following relegations at their own clubs.
In an ideal world, Liverpool would have a natural left-back to act as Robertson’s understudy as using a right-footed midfielder in that position is far from the perfect scenario.
Lewis, like Robertson, is an attack-minded left-back and could be a very good option if the Reds do decide to make a move for him,
He’d allow the Reds to continue with their natural style of play if Robertson was absent for any reason, whereas Liverpool do have to change slightly when Milner is asked to play at left-back.
