Danny Murphy sees Lallana as ‘perfect’ for Leeds United

In his most recent Daily Mail column, ex-Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy described out-of-contract Adam Lallana as a ‘perfect’ player for newly promoted Leeds United.

Lallana looks certain to leave Anfield in the upcoming transfer window and it seems that he will want to stay put in the Premier League.

Regarding Lallana, Murphy said:

Adam Lallana, out of contract at Liverpool, would be perfect [for Leeds]. Great energy, good footballer, good attitude.

After Leeds’ recent promotion to the Premier League, adding some top talent to their squad will now be Marcelo Bielsa’s primary aim.

Lallana has been with The Reds since 2014 and has been a very good servant to the club and will receive a Premier League medal in his final season with them.

Although this is just the opinion of Murphy, it would be a move that would make sense.

The 32-year-old still has a good few years left in him and Bielsa implements a style of play that Lallana would suit.

He has been linked with Leicester over the last month but momentum on that move seems to have slowed down, so Leeds could be a good option for the attacking midfielder.

James Milner had also been linked with a switch to his boyhood club and the team he started his career with, but he is still contracted to Liverpool at the moment and no move seems imminent there.
