Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has taken to social media to send a heartfelt message to Chris Morgan, who is leaving his role as The Gunners’ head of physiotherapy in order to rejoin Liverpool’s medical department.
Morgan ended a ten-year spell at Liverpool back in 2016 when he departed the club to take up a role with The FA.
He’s since spent time at the LA Galaxy, Crystal Palace and Arsenal but he’s set to make a move back to Anfield this summer.
Morgan was part of Arsenal’s backroom staff as they won the FA Cup final on Saturday, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scoring both goals in a 2-1 win over Chelsea.
After the game, Tierney, who has battled injuries at Arsenal, posted this message about Morgan on Twitter.
This man helped me from the first minute I walked in the door! Cannot thank u enough for everything you’ve done for me.. a special man. Grateful for everything. So sad to see u go gonna miss u so much legend. Thank you. Couldn’t have done this without u. Love @ChrisMorgan10 hero. pic.twitter.com/U248QHKzVu

Tierney joined Arsenal last summer but was unable to have a major impact in the first half of the season due to injury issues, but he ended the campaign in very good form and was a major reason why the Gunners won the FA Cup.
Having spent a lot of time with Morgan, Tierney can speak first-hand about how good the Liverpool-bound physio was and if he can be as helpful to Liverpool’s players as he was to the Scottish international, Jurgen Klopp will be very happy indeed.
