Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is reportedly closing in on a transfer to Manchester United but according to TalkSport’s Alex Crook, the England winger would prefer a move to Liverpool over a transfer to Old Trafford.
When discussing Sancho’s future on TalkSport on Monday, former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder, now pundit, Danny Murphy said:
I did hear that his preference would be Liverpool ahead of United.
Crook then said he’d heard the same thing from a family member of the England international.
I heard the same and that has actually come from a family member of Jadon Sancho’s that lives over here in England. That was before the pandemic and before Jurgen Klopp couldn’t justify spending big money on Timo Werner.

You’d likely be hard-pressed to find a Liverpool supporter who would not want to see The Reds sign Jadon Sancho, but it looks like any chance of that happening disappeared when the global pandemic hit.
Liverpool may have had the ability to sign Sancho if their finances were all in order but the impact of the pandemic looks to have reduced Jurgen Klopp’s transfer budget.
Man United seemingly have no such worries and as such, they look like they’ll be about to add another excellent forward player to their already exciting collection of attackers.
