Liverpool are interested in signing Diogo Jota from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Having brought Bayern Munich star Thiago Alcantara to Anfield, The Reds have began the process of searching for a new forward player and Jota, a Portuguese international, is the player who they have their eyes on.
The 23-year-old was left out of the Wolves squad as on Thursday night with manager Nuno Espírito Santo declining to comment when asked why the winger was missing, but this update might have something to do with his absence.
The Portuguese international originally joined Wolves on loan from Atletico Madrid in 2017 and signed on a permanent deal one year later for a fee of around €14m.
Now, it looks like he may well be on his way to Liverpool, but a fee will still need to be agreed between the Midlands-based club and The Reds before any deal becomes closer to completion.
Whether the sale of Ki-Jana Hoever to Wolves has any impact on this deal also remains to be seen.
