Some Liverpool fans have been laughing at Joel Matip’s bizarre behaviour on the training ground, in his latest show of hilarity.
The Reds are preparing for their Champions League clash with Ajax on Tuesday night, knowing that a win at Anfield will book a place in the knockout rounds.
Matip will hopefully be available to start the game, have been rested away to Brighton as a precautionary measure.
The 29-year-old is becoming an increasingly popular member of Liverpool’s squad, with numerous incidents summing up his cult hero status.
Matip seems to have an ability to be funny without trying to be, which can be a hallmark of the most humorous people.
The hilarious outtakes reel from a promotional video earlier in the year is a good example of that, with Liverpool colleagues in fits of laughter simply by listening to Matip speak his lines.
Now, a new clip has emerged, with Matip warming up at training on Monday in odd fashion, generally not looking like a professional footballer.
