Liverpool have been handed a major boost, with James Pearce confirming that Trent Alexander-Arnold will return to full training this week.
The 22-year-old has been absent since injuring his calf in the 1-1 draw away to Manchester City last month, prior to the international break.
Neco Williams and James Milner have filled in admirably at right-back during that time, but neither possess Alexander-Arnold’s world-class ability in that position.
Following Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Ajax on Tuesday night, Pearce confirmed on a Q&A for The Athletic that Alexander-Arnold’s return is imminent:
Should be back in full training later this week.

This is a huge positive for Jurgen Klopp, suggesting Alexander-Arnold could be available for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Wolves at Anfield.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side are a hugely dangerous attacking outfit, with Pedro Neto likely to take up the left-sided attacking role.
The thought of Williams or Milner up against him is a scary one, in comparison to Alexander-Arnold, so the hope is that he is back.
It will make such a difference, ahead of a relentless run of fixtures during the festive period.
