Jordan Henderson‘s brilliant reaction to Conor Coady’s dive sums up his leadership as Liverpool captain.
The Reds cruised to a 4-0 victory over Wolves on Sunday night, although it could have been very different had it not been for VAR. Wolves were awarded a penalty when Liverpool were 1-0 up, only for Coady to be adjudged to have dived, having gone down after no contact from Sadio Mane.
In the latest episode of ‘Inside Anfield’, released on the club’s official YouTube channel, Henderson tells his England teammate exactly what he thinks, with the former Reds defender not even able to look him in the eye.

This just perfectly encapsulates the way in which Henderson leads this Liverpool team, always looking out for his colleagues and laying into opponents when he feels it is needed.
Slowly but surely, he is staking a claim for being one of the greatest captains in Reds history, although that will always be subjective.
One thing is for sure: Liverpool couldn’t ask for a better skipper currently, with the team never quite the same when he isn’t around – this season’s results would verify as such.
