Liverpool and Real Madrid’s interest in Kylian Mbappe is ‘real’, according to Sport [via Sport Witness].
The Reds have been linked with a stunning move for the Paris Saint-Germain superstar, but Madrid are also seen as possible suitors.
Mbappe’s current deal at PSG expires at the end of the 2021/22 season, and while the Ligue 1 giants remain hopeful of him staying on, two of Europe’s biggest teams are circling.
Liverpool’s interest is genuine, as per this latest report, with Jurgen Klopp a huge admirer of the Frenchman.
It is stated that while the Reds can’t offer Mbappe as much money as PSG, they can promise him a ‘better sporting project’.

Mbappe would be a sensational signing for Liverpool, such is his reputation in the world game. At just 21, the striker already has 100 goals and 58 assists in 137 appearances for PSG, as well as 16 in 39 for France.
Valued at £162m (almost £50m more than any other player) by Transfermarkt, however, he would almost certainly cost Liverpool a fortune, so it could mean that one of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have to make way for him.
The world-class Reds pair turn 29 next year, and while the idea of them leaving may be hard to accept, it could make more long-term sense than it may seem.
Mbappe has the ability to be one of the world’s best players for the next decade, highlighting what an exciting signing he could be.
