A number of Liverpool fans have enjoyed looking back at Steven Gerrard’s memorable goal against Olympiakos in 2004.
It is exactly 16 years to the day since Gerrard scored one of the most famous Anfield goals of all time, firing home a late strike in front of the Kop.
Liverpool needed to either win the game 1-0 or by two clear goals, in order to reach the Champions League knockout stages.
They led 2-1 against Olympiakos with just a few minutes remaining, only for Gerrard to rifle home a thunderous strike, celebrating like a maniac in the process.
It meant Liverpool reached the last-16, before famously going on to win the competition, beating AC Milan in an all-time great final.
On Tuesday, the Reds’ official Twitter account reminded us all about one of Gerrard’s most iconic moments, posting a video of the goal.

Easily my favourite Gerrard goal. To produce something that special, especially in the circumstances, is outrageous
