Liverpool welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield tonight in what looks set to be a mouthwatering contest.
Jurgen Klopp‘s side were far from their free-flowing best on Sunday when they came away from Craven Cottage with a disappointing 1-1 draw against struggling Fulham.
Jose Mourinho’s men head to Merseyside as Klopp’s side put their unbeaten home record on the line once again whilst hoping to move ahead of their title rivals in the table.
Spurs have made a strong start to the campaign but themselves dropped points in London on Sunday as they let a lead slip at Crystal Palace. However, Mourinho’s men have set about overhauling an astonishing 40-point gap on the Reds from last term and currently sit level on points with the reigning champions.
Joel Matip remains a doubt for this one just to further heighten Liverpool’s defensive injury crisis, whilst Naby Keita seems unlikely to start owing to a lack of match fitness.
Despite the hectic Christmas schedule now being upon us, Klopp is likely to field his strongest possible XI for this crunch encounter, with seemingly ‘easier’ matches coming up after tonight.
Here’s how we think the Reds will line up for tonight’s clash…
