A number of Liverpool supporters have been expressing their love for Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Twitter post after the Reds’ win over Tottenham.
Anfield hosted a dramatic Premier League encounter on Wednesday night, as first in the table visited second.
Liverpool were easily the better team throughout the evening, however, completely dominating possession and creating chances.
Mohamed Salah’s deflected strike gave the champions the lead, only for Son Heung-min to equalise after a well-worked counter-attack.
Opportunities came and went for both teams in the second half, before Roberto Firmino’s 90th-minute header won it for Liverpool.
After the game, a bitter Jose Mourinho said he told Jurgen Klopp that the superior team had lost the match, as the Portuguese proved to be a typically bad loser.
Alexander-Arnold responded brilliantly to the Spurs manager’s comments on Twitter, mocking him and stating that Liverpool most certainly deserved the victory.
