Adrian’s time as a Liverpool player is “coming to an end”, according to the Liverpool Echo‘s Ian Doyle.
The 33-year-old has had an up-and-down Reds career to date, having joined in the summer of 2019.
Adrian started well, helping Liverpool win the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea, but errors started to creep in and he was at fault for the Champions League exit against Atletico Madrid back in March.
Caoimhin Kelleher now appears to be Alisson’s deputy in the Liverpool goal, meaning the Spaniard’s time is surely up.
Speaking in a Q&A for the Echo on Thursday, Doyle confirmed that Adrian was heading for the Anfield exit door:
Adrian is a popular member of the squad and there’s every chance he might even play in the FA Cup in a few weeks.
He played his part in the UEFA Super Cup and Premier League triumphs last season. But, yes, it seems his time is coming to an end at Anfield.

It makes perfect sense to move Adrian on, with the former West Ham stopper simply not good enough for Liverpool.
His distribution has too often looked shaky and he has increasingly spread panic when he has played, such as in the 7-2 thrashing away to Aston Villa earlier this season.
Kelleher has looked a more confident figure when he has played, so Adrian isn’t needed moving forward.
He can still be a solid goalkeeper elsewhere, but certain attributes are required to thrive in this Reds side, and he doesn’t have them.
