A number of Liverpool supporters absolutely love Jurgen Klopp’s dig at Liverpool’s rivals in Manchester, following another award win for him.
On Sunday night, Klopp was named Coach of the Year at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards.
On top of that, Liverpool scooped the Team of the Year prize, while Jordan Henderson was second in the main award of the night, finishing behind Lewis Hamilton.
It was a richly deserved honour for Klopp, who has completely transformed Liverpool as a club since arriving in October 2015.
He has turned the Reds into English, European and world champions, playing some wonderful football along the way.
After receiving his award on Sunday, Klopp brilliantly joked that “getting this prize in Manchester makes it even sweeter”, with the ceremony held down the M62.
It was a brilliant dig at both Manchester United and Manchester City, not to mention the city in general, with its rivalry with Liverpool throughout history well-known.
These Reds fans took to Twitter to react to Klopp’s comments, loving what the boss had to say.
