Liverpool have enjoyed a 2020 to remember in what will always go down as a historic 12-month period in the club’s great history.
At the beginning of the year, the Reds looked primed to win a first Premier League title and they did exactly that, cruising to glory.
That wasn’t before the 2019/20 season had been temporarily curtailed, however, as the global pandemic put a stop to the English game for three months.
Thankfully, football restarted and Liverpool were able to secure glory as Jurgen Klopp turned the Reds into English champions for the first time in 30 years.
This season has started in a similarly positive vein for the Merseysiders, even if injuries and VAR have done their best to disrupt the Reds’ rhythm.
Klopp’s men sit four points clear at the top of the table heading into the festive fixtures, with last weekend’s 7-0 win away to Crystal Palace their most emphatic performance of the campaign so far.
