A number of Liverpool supporters are now against the idea of the Reds signing Jadon Sancho next summer.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, who was speaking on the Que Golazo Podcast, Sancho could well head to the Premier League next summer, with Liverpool remaining a potential suitor:
I think he’s moving next summer. I expect Jadon Sancho to be back in the Premier League. I will say like Liverpool, Chelsea, a lot of clubs are scouting the situation of Jadon Sancho, so at this point the race is open.
The reigning champions have been linked with the Borussia Dortmund superstar in the past, being viewed a potential long-term successor to Mohamed Salah or Sadio Mane.
Sancho ended up staying put in Germany during the summer, but it increasingly looks as though this could be his final year at Dortmund.
The £90million-rated England international is having a tough season currently, having failed to score in his 11 Bundesliga appearances in 2020/21.
This poor form seems to have affected Sancho’s reputation, with the 20-year-old not quite as highly-rated as he was earlier in the year.
These Liverpool fans gave their thoughts on Romano’s update, with those in question not wanting the Reds to sign the forward.
