A number of Liverpool supporters have been showing their support for Curtis Jones, after the midfielder called out a section of the Reds fanbase.
The 19-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough 2020, starting it by scoring the winner against Everton in the FA Cup and ending it as a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s team.
Injuries to the likes of Thiago and Naby Keita, coupled with Fabinho playing at centre-back, has given Jones more football than he would have expected this season, with the youngster starting seven out of 16 Premier League games.
Having been in excellent form a few weeks ago, the Englishman’s level has dipped a little, with ineffective performances coming in the draws against West Brom and Newcastle United.
It appears as though Jones has been receiving some criticism from ‘fans’ online, judging by his latest Twitter post.
On New Year’s Eve, the boyhood Red wished supporters a Happy New Year, but pointed out that the message was only meant for “REAL fans”.
And to all the REAL fans, thank you for your continued support!❤️

Just keep doing what you’re doing. A scouser living the dream of many other scousers. Bring that premier league title home, hopefully a champions league too! YNWA
