Andy Robertson has selected Alisson and Virgil van Dijk in his all-time five-a-side team – the only representatives from the current Liverpool squad.
The Scot has become a world-class performer for the Reds, having joined from Hull City in the summer of 2017.
Robertson has played alongside a host of elite names, but when asked to choose his best-ever five-a-side team on The Greatest Game with Jamie Carragher podcast, Alisson and Van Dijk were the only teammates he picked.
Making up the rest of the side were Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard and Sir Kenny Dalglish – the Celtic-supporting left-back begrudgingly picked Gerrard, despite his Rangers connections – as well as his boyhood hero Henrik Larsson.

In a team packed with superstars, Alisson and Van Dijk have had the greatest impact on this Liverpool team, so it is easy to see why Robertson has chosen them.
The pair have completely transformed the Reds as a team, turning them from an exciting attacking team with defensive flaws to world, European and English champions.
Alisson and Van Dijk are both arguably the best in the world in their respective positions and they will go down as true Liverpool greats eventually.
The likes of Trent Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino may feel aggrieved not to have made Robertson’s team, but then again, Gerrard and Dalglish aren’t bad picks, are they?
