Diogo Jota will return from injury for Liverpool next month, The Athletic‘s James Pearce has confirmed.
The Portuguese has been a huge loss for the Reds since suffering a knee injury against Midtjylland in mid-December.
Jota scored nine goals in his first 17 appearances before this absence, making a flying start to life at Liverpool after his move from Wolves.
Speaking in a Q&A before Sunday’s 0-0 draw at home to Man United, Pearce revealed when he expects the 24-year-old to be back in the fold:
Early February he should be back.

This is a major boost for Liverpool, with Jota seemingly back in the next couple of weeks.
Not only has he been a massive loss, but Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino have also hit a run of poor form at the same time, scoring once between them in the last four league games.
Jota’s return will not only provide Jurgen Klopp with another option in the final third, but it could also jolt the front-three back into life, with their place in the starting lineup under threat.
Virgil van Dijk has clearly been a huge loss this season, but Jota’s absence has arguably been just as costly in recent weeks.
