Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is hopeful that Sadio Mane will be fit to face Manchester City this weekend.
The 28-year-old missed the win at West Ham and defeat at home to Brighton, having suffered a muscle injury at Tottenham last week.
Mane was unsurprisingly missed in Wednesday’s 1-0 loss to the Seagulls at Anfield, as Liverpool again saw their Premier League title hopes dented.
Speaking to reporters after the game [via Liverpool Echo], Klopp didn’t confirm whether the Senegal star would definitely be available for Sunday’s visit of Manchester City, but remained confident that he would feature
The manager said: “Sadio we will see. He might be available for the weekend. He didn’t train with the team today. Maybe, we will see.”

Mane may not have been at his absolute best throughout the season, but it is vital that is he is fit this weekend. Liverpool simply aren’t the same team when one of their main front three is missing, especially against an opponent as strong as Manchester City City.
His battle with Joao Cancelo could be an interesting one if he plays, as he looks to make the Portuguese right-back focus on the defensive side of his game rather than going forward.
