The 22-year-old is arguably one of the most exciting young centre-backs in Europe currently, with Liverpool endlessly linked with moves for him this season.
Upamecano will come up against the Reds on Tuesday night, as RB Leipzig host Jurgen Klopp’s side in their Champions League last-16 first leg clash.
The Frenchman’s future lies away from Leipzig, however, and he will officially become a Bayern player on July 1st.

This is an undoubted blow for Liverpool, considering the vast potential Upamecano has as a player.
A new centre-back is imperative for the Reds this summer, considering Virgil van Dijk turns 30 later in the year, and Joe Gomez and Joel Matip are both injury-prone.
It could be that Liverpool sign Upamecano’s Leipzig teammate Ibrahima Konate instead, with the youngster tipped to move to Anfield in the past.
Konate has won an average of 2.6 aerial duels per game in the Bundesliga this season and has a pass completion rate of 83.7 percent, suggesting he could thrive for Liverpool both on and off the ball.
